I prefer wearing it on my right arm during workouts for instance and my left when I’m sleeping (because my brain is more used to having something on the left wrist and I find it less disturbing). This is pretty handy as it means you can change the way you’re wearing it depending on what you’re doing. It can be worn on either wrist as well as facing either inwards or outwards. Once you get the right size it should fit quite tightly but there’s a neat clasp for adjusting it as you need to. So if you’re buying one of these, make sure to try them on first or at least to carefully examine the guide that Microsoft supplies. Turns out I had the wrong size and had to get one smaller. When I first got my device I was disappointed because it felt too uncomfortable to wear.

The values are interesting, some like the heart rate are obvious others like Galvanic Skin Response less so(essentially it measures how much your are sweating) but it’s great to have access to the sensors. You can also monitor a remote Band via the app and send a direct message to another band so you could use it to send a message directly to your friend. With the app you can view the real time heart rate data in BPM, view your skin temperature, Galvanic Skin Response (KOhm), UV index and light levels.

    The Windows Phone app called Band Sensor Monitor enables you to get real time data from your Microsoft Band including data that is not exposed in the official Microsoft Band app. Here is another 3 rd party app that helps you get a bit more out of your Microsoft Band.
